What BalanceHER is NOT

BalanceHER is a women's movement education practice. We teach you to listen to your body's rhythm through short, repeatable Yuan Qi Qigong practices. It's likely not what you're expecting.

The Beautiful Evolution of Feet Stamping

When we watch traditional or indigenous dances, we see beautiful, rhythmic foot stamping. Vibrant. Alive. Connected to the earth.

But here is the secret most have forgotten feet stamping is medicine.

Over a lifetime as a 7th Dan Shaolin Kung Fu practitioner and Health Qigong teacher, I have taken that ancient, grounded wisdom and merged it with the internal, flowing energy of Yuan Qi Qigong. This is not a dance step. It is a profound, intentional practice.

When we stamp with purpose, we are grounding excess energy, shaking off the heaviness of the day, and personifying the ancient dance of life down to our roots. It turns a simple physical action into a deep, internal dialogue with your own physiology.

Why the Khoisan? Why the First People?

The Khoisan (Bushman) are among the first people on Earth. Their connection to the land, their ability to run for hours without exhaustion, their rhythmic stamping as a form of earth medicine – this is not folklore. It is ancestral technology.

BalanceHER marries that indigenous wisdom with the meridian and channel theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine (via Qigong and Shaolin). The result? A unique, lineage‑bridging practice that validates what the ancients knew: rhythmic grounding heals.

What BalanceHER is NOT

Let’s be clear from the start. BalanceHER is a women’s movement education practice – but it is likely not what you’re expecting.

❌ Not a supplement – no pills, powders, or creams.

❌ Not a medical treatment – we do not diagnose or prescribe.

❌ Not a high-intensity workout – we do not push to exhaustion.

❌ Not a 7-day cleanse or quick fix – sustainable change is slow.

❌ Not another overwhelming wellness trend – no overload, no perfect order, no pressure.

What BalanceHER IS

We teach you to listen to your body’s rhythm through short, repeatable, deeply restorative Yuan Qi Qigong practices – fused with the grounding medicine of Khoisan feet stamping and the structural intelligence of Shaolin Kung Fu.

You do not need to be flexible, fit, or experienced. You just need to be willing to return to your body.

BalanceHER gives you the method.
MapMeHealthy gives you the calm online sanctuary to practise.

You begin exactly where your body is speaking today.

Women‑first, but not women‑only

Why women‑first? Because for too long, wellness research and movement practices have ignored the female body – its cycles, its rhythms, its needs. BalanceHER was created to fill that gap.

However, the practices themselves – feet stamping, Yuan Qi Qigong, nervous system regulation – are adaptable for men. Many partners and fathers have joined in and found profound grounding and stress relief.

We welcome men to practise alongside the women in their lives – as a partner, a family member, or a respectful observer. The Body Map is human. The rhythm is for everyone.

Women‑first is not exclusion. It is correction. And from that correction, everyone benefits.

The Science Is Coming – With a Trusted Voice

My daughter, a pre‑med, biochemistry, and environmental science student, will soon join me to unpack the physiology behind feet stamping: how rhythmic grounding affects the nervous system, hormonal axis, and cellular energy.

Ancient wisdom, validated by modern science. This is the future of BalanceHER.

“We do not give you more time. We teach you how to inhabit the time you have – through the oldest rhythm on Earth: your own feet on the ground.”
