BalanceHER: Transformative Wellbeing with Harmony Flow Wellness Practices

Inner Silence – Finding Peace in the Chaos

Our Mission and Vision

The mission and vision of the BalanceHER Journey highlight the focus on accessible wellness practices that honour African heritage and cater to women of all ages.

“Empowering Women’s Wellness: From Resilience to Radiance.”

Through holistic methods, Amanda Lan’s BalanceHER Journey program promotes the wellness of women. It integrates ancient wisdom from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Qigong, Kung Fu, African, and Khoi-San traditions, supporting women at various life stages, from puberty to menopause and beyond.

Born from a journey of healing and discovery, BalanceHER was created to address the realities and challenges women face. The program blends personal wellness strategies with integrative care, reconnecting women of all ages to their natural vitality through tailored Harmony Flow Wellness Practices. These practices help manage hormonal, reproductive, and emotional health, drawing from both ancient wisdom and modern self-care techniques.

At its core, BalanceHER is rooted in Yuan Qi Qigong, a wellness routine designed specifically for women to thrive. Amanda, a 7th Dan Kung Fu martial artist and 4th Dan International Health Qigong Technical Coach, combines her personal experiences, martial arts training, and creative and business skills to create a program that focuses on vitality through habit-forming actions nurturing vital energy, promoting health, and emotional harmony. The program focuses on breast and uterine health, enhancing immunity, balancing hormones, rejuvenation, and promoting long-term vitality and longevity.

BalanceHER Journey – Empowering Women's Wellness “Discover Wellness That Embraces Every Imperfection – BalanceHER: From Resilience to Radiance”

Emphasising early awareness of women’s wellness, BalanceHER helps women balance study-work-life dynamics and embrace natural transitions like menstruation, hormonal fluctuations, and menopause (known as “Second Spring”), while promoting strength, connection, and even a touch of humour.

The program introduces practices like Qigong’s “Feet Stamping” and particular routines focusing on breast and uterine wellness, both of which draw wisdom from Khoi-San and African traditions. These traditions intersect with Chinese medicine and Qigong. BalanceHER transcends cultural boundaries, empowering women to take control of their wellness regardless of their background.

The program’s essence is not about perfection but about the consistent cultivation of well-being, encouraging women to fit wellness into their lives while embracing their inner silence. By embracing this quietude, women can cultivate peace and clarity, influencing their daily actions.

The grounding techniques, inspired by South African Khoe-San cultural dances, resonate with Yuan Qi Qigong’s principles of vitality and balance. Yuan Qi, meaning ‘origin’ or ‘beginning,’ symbolises the vital life energy concentrated in the lower abdomen, the seat of our reproductive organs, supporting women’s source of health, creativity, and nurturing power. BalanceHER nurtures, restores, and rejuvenates this vitality, promoting physical and emotional harmony.

As you explore BalanceHER, you’ll discover it offers more than just exercises—it’s a way of life. Rooted in ancient wisdom, this program seamlessly fits into modern life, supporting women’s health in today’s world. By retracing and celebrating indigenous healing heritage, BalanceHER is shaping a healthier, more empowered future for generations to come. And… it is adaptable for men, providing insights and practices that are beneficial for men’s wellness too.
